About this Hands-on Lab

In this Live Environment, you are a DevOps Engineer who is deploying a Node.js app to production. However, the app is failing to deploy to Cloud Foundry. Your mission is to troubleshoot the issue and get the app working so it can be deployed to production.

Register for a Pivotal Cloud Foundry account.

Use the cf-cli to login to your Pivotal Cloud Foundry account.

You will find user-api in /root. This is the application that needs to be deployed to Cloud Foundry.

Execute a cf push command to deploy the app. The app will fail to deploy to Cloud Foundry.

Troubleshoot the issue by looking at the logs.

Fix the issue and deploy the app.

Verify the app deployed by pulling it up in a web browser.

Once the app is verified we will use the generate manifest command to create a manifest.

We will then delete the app and create a new one using the manifest.

Verify the new app that deployed using the manifest by pulling it up in a web browser.

Once verified delete the app.
