About this Hands-on Lab

In tis lab, we will be launching an Aurora cluster and adding two readers in different Avaliability Zones, which allows you to have more safety in failovers and Availability Zone protection.

Learning Objectives

Successfully complete this lab by achieving the following learning objectives:

Launch an Aurora Cluster

Get to the RDS section of the console and launch a dev/test Aurora cluster.

Add Two New Readers

After the cluster is created, add two new readers in different Availability Zones.

In this lab, we are stepping into the shoes of a cloud engineer that needs an Aurora cluster to have multiple readers in different Availability Zones to deal with things like failovers.
