In this lab, you will create a manual snapshot of an Amazon DocumentDB cluster. After completing this lab, you will have hands-on experience using the AWS Management Console to create a snapshot of an Amazon DocumentDB cluster.

Successfully complete this lab by achieving the following learning objectives:

Open the Amazon DocumentDB Service

From the AWS Management Console, select the DocumentDB service.

Create a New Snapshot

Create a new snapshot, specifying the Cluster identifier of the existing cluster. Then, enter your own Snapshot identifier.

You are working as a database administrator (DBA) and have been tasked with creating a manual snapshot of the production DocumentDB cluster.

To achieve this, you will need to complete the following tasks:

  • Open the Amazon DocumentDB service in the AWS Management Console.
  • Create a new snapshot.
