About this Hands-on Lab

In this lab, we are going to connect two VPCs via a transit gateway and adjust route tables to establish private connectivity. This is important, as it will allow communication to flow through your private network without traversing the public internet.

Learning Objectives

Successfully complete this lab by achieving the following learning objectives:

Create a Transit Gateway

Create a transit gateway to allow communication between the two VPCs.

Attach the Transit Gateway to Both VPCs

Attach the transit gateway to be associated with both VPCs.

Edit Route Tables

Edit the route tables of both VPCs to establish private connectivity.

Create a VPC

Create a new VPC that we will be using for connections in this lab.

Additional Resources

In this lab, we will be stepping into the shoes of a cloud engineer that needs to establish private connectivity between two VPCs.
