How to modify storage access for a VM from READ to READWRITE

I created a VM with access scope to Storage as Read. Then edited the VM and provided READ/WRITE permission. But still getting Access Denied error when copying files to Storage. I have also tried giving FULL access to Storage. Still the same. Please guide me how to provide Write access to Storage for a VM instance which has been created initially with READ access.
