When I try to list a particular bucket using gsutil ls gs:// – tabs to autocomplete the rest of the bucket name doesn’t work. Same tab to autocomplete works fine with other files

I seems to be a bug of gsutil for a long time and yet it has not been fixed. For me the autocompletion had stopped working for many months despite wherever I use it (Cloud Shell or locally with the SDK).
