Different time-stamps in Log explorer and Monitoring?

I recognise 1 hour time shift between the Logs explorer and the Metrics explorer in the GCE challenge… in the logs the CPU stress runs at 22:40 for 2 minutes and in the Metrics explorer it shows the CPU utilisation from 11:40 PM… why do I have different time zones?
