I previously passed on the old version of solutions architect exam.
Some thoughts on the exam if this helps anybody:
1). Studying – did this acloud guru class and also whizlab questions
2). Spent several months preparing (a little bit each week)
3). Exam notes:
Lots of data storage questions (EFS/S3/EBS)
Lots of EBS references in questions
Couple of questions on VPN/VPC/Direct Connect
Very few easy questions (maybe 3 to 5)
Lots of references with EC2 and single/multi AZ/regions
Took me about 1 hour 40 minutes to get initial pass through questions
Not alot of low level details on S3
More references than I thought on storage gateway
A couple of questions referenced Cognito/GuardDuty/Trusted Advisor/Config. I would have studied a little more on Trusted Advisor and Config
Alot of references on RDS (not as much on Aurora)
