What is the difference between a CORE and vCPU in VM sizes on Azure

Azure has so many VM size options however it is very confusing to understand what exact is a CORE and vCPU. How much of real CPU makes a CORE / vCPU and vice versa.

Hi Rajkumar,

A core is a physical unit of a CPU. A virtual CPU (vCPU) also known as a virtual processor, is a physical central processing unit (CPU) that is assigned to a virtual machine (VM).

I hope that make sense.
Cheers,
Lars
