My goal is to get the SA-Pro cert. After passing the SA-associate exam. Would it be wise to focus all my energy in studying for the SA-Pro instead of going after another associate cert?

It will help you a lot if you take Associate first, as this will prepare you for the Professional.
Yes I my associate exam is in a couple of weeks
