Need to be updated with the timing
The revised edition has just been launched .
Looks interesting. I may try to get in on the new Beta exam when it is released.
I have received an email from Amazon stating that the AWS Security Speciality Beta is back on, and you MUST schedule it between Jan 15 – March 2. Here is a copy of the email text that I received from Amazon on January 9 stating the following:
You can be among the first to hold our newest AWS Certification by participating in the AWS Certified Security – Specialty beta exam. Register today – this beta exam will only be available from January 15th to March 2nd!
About the Security Beta Exam
This beta exam validates that the successful candidate can effectively demonstrate knowledge of how to secure the AWS platform. The exam covers incident response, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, identity and access management, and data protection.
The beta is open to anyone who currently holds an Associate or Cloud Practitioner certification. We recommend candidates have five years of IT security experience designing and implementing security solutions, and at least two years of hands-on experience securing AWS workloads.

AWS Training and Certification
I noticed that the content for the specialty exam has changed recently. The chapter 3 content "Identity Access Management, S3 & Security Policies" seems to be new and I think chapter 8, "Incidence Response & AWS In The Real World" is also new. The chapter on CloudHSM is now marked optional since it seems nobody saw any questions on this topic.
