Re the CloudWatch `Key components:` slide

Just a question, but according to this slide the three components of CloudWatch are:

CloudWatch
CloudWatch Logs
CloudWatch Events

Is CloudWatch referring to CloudWatch Metrics or is the term Metrics deprecated?
