“Launching an EC2 Instance”Lab

I am trying to do the lab "Launching an EC2 Instance" and when I open the link it is looking for an IAM User Name and I cannot sign in without it.

If you look on the right hand side of the lab page there’s a section called Credentials. Under that section you will see a username and password to use for the login page.

I see that but when I open the page with incognito it is asking for a username, IAM user name, and password. All they are supplying id the username and password, no IAM username, Did not have this problem for the lambda lab.

Hi, Thomas! Welcome to the course. When I launch the lab and open the Incognito window, it is asking for two values: IAM user name and password. The Account ID should already be populated. For the IAM user name field, you will enter the Username value provided on the lab start page – in this case, cloud_user. I just tested this and it allows me to access the AWS environment.

Now, if your Incognito window is asking for three values (e.g., username, IAM user name, and password), please open a support ticket here, and we’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot.

Thank you Kesha this worked. For some reason I thought that when I did the lambda it asked for an id and pw. I do not recall an account field. Appreciate your help on this.

My pleasure! I’m glad you’re able to access the lab. Let me know if you have any other questions.
