With the recently announced ‘Docker Certified Associate’ as the first (and currently only) official Docker certification (you can read more about the announcement here), you may be wondering how you can prepare for the certification. If you are, then you are at the right place! Launched on December 22nd, 2017 – right here!
Docker Certified Associate
After you have had a chance to read through the announcement, you will want to take a look at the detailed objectives for this certification. This certification is going to focus on the Enterprise Edition of Docker, along with Docker Swarm, and Docker implementation on AWS. At a high level, the exam will cover the following domains with the questions in each domain weighted as indicated in parentheses:
- Orchestration (25% of Exam Questions)
- Image Creation, Management, and Registry (20% of Exam Questions)
- Installation and Configuration (15% of Exam Questions)
- Networking (15% of Exam Questions)
- Security (15% of Exam Questions)
- Storage and Volumes (10% of Exam Questions)
Docker will be releasing this exam for attendees of DockerCon Europe on October 16, 2017. This exam is intended to be the first in a stack of expected certifications from Docker over the coming year. It will consist of 55 multiple choice/fill in the blank questions and can be taken online anywhere in the world over an 80-minute time limit window.
