The Ultimate Guide to re:Invent 2022

Mark Nunnikhoven’s goal with this guide is simple: help you get the most out of AWS re:Invent. His annual guide started with just a few tips in the early days, but as the show grew (and grew, and grew…) so did the guide. An entire week in Las Vegas is tricky at any time. At a conference with hundreds of sessions and with a mountain of new things to learn? It’s a real challenge! Get all the goss on where to be, what to do, and how to do it in his Ultimate Guide to re:Invent 2022!

First time attending?

There’s a lot to take in at this 5-day conference – so much that it can get pretty overwhelming, especially if you’ve never been before. Kesha Williams has selected some session recommendations to ensure you have a chance to explore all the learning and networking opportunities on offer. Check out her guide on how to tackle AWS re:Invent if it’s your first time!

Everything you need to know before the show

We get by with a little help from our friends! And who’s better to help us than AWS Heroes (and re:Invent frequent fliers) Mattias Andersson and David Tucker, as they discuss what to expect at the 2022 AWS re:Invent conference..

Listen in for more on their top tips for AWS re:Invent 2022:

  1. Bring comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
  2. Stick close to the Venetian when possible; it's the hub of the conference.
  3. The AWS Certification Lounge is a great spot to hang out if you already have an AWS Certification.
  4. Check the session schedule during keynotes to see if AWS adds or changes sessions after new announcements.
  5. Be flexible! Use AWS re:Invent to make connections with other attendees.
