In this lab, you will be setting up a static host entry that points to the private IP address for a web server.

Successfully complete this lab by achieving the following learning objectives:

Add a Static Host Alias

Add a static host alias named ‘web-guru’ on the client system. The alias should point to the private IP address of the ‘web’ server.

Verify the Static Host Entry

Verify that the new host alias is working and you are able to access the web server by using the alias ‘web-guru’.

Additional Resources

As part of testing for a new application roll out, the development team would like to have a static host alias setup on the system ‘client’. They would like the alias to be named ‘web-guru’ and point to the private IP of the ‘web’ server.
