About this Hands-on Lab

You are working as a System Administrator and have been tasked with querying a running PostgreSQL instance. You will need to run two queries: one to find the name of the user with an *ID* of **3**, and another to find the *ID* of the user with the name **David**.

Successfully complete this lab by achieving the following learning objectives:

Connect to the Database

As this database is behind a firewall, you must first connect to the server using SSH.

After connecting to the server via SSH, you can connect to the database using the psql client:

sudo -u postgres psql demo
Print the Name of the User with an ID of 3
select name from users where ID = 3;
Print the ID of the User Named David
select ID from users where name = 'David';
