Setting up a k8s cluster on Azure in Cloud Playground

Hi all,

I’m trying to create a k8s cluster in Azure using the cloud playground.

It asks me to set a service principle but I don’t appear to have permissions to do this,

Has anyone else looked at this? Is it a limitation of the playground?

Thanks

Hi @Joe,

It is not a limitation. You need a ReadWrite access privilege to Azure Active Directory Service on your Azure portal. You need the Client ID for the "Service Principal". You can ask someone with ReadWrite access privilege to Azure Active Directory Service on your Azure portal to create one for you to use.

Use the link below as a guide:

Thanks for the answer. The ‘cloud playground’ offered through acloud.guru doesn’t appear to let you admin the AD service though and as it’s a sandbox there is no one to ask.

Oh! Okay Joe. For me uses my Azure Portal Subscription directly. But concerning issue like this, I will suggest to open a ticket with A Cloud Guru Support instead https://help.acloud.guru/hc/en-us/requests/new?
