Is the section on Vertical Pod Autoscalers (VPAs) out of date?

The videos mention that VPAs are still in alpha, and shouldn’t be relied upon as they’re subject to breaking changes.

Looking at the k8s docs, https://github.com/kubernetes/autoscaler/tree/master/vertical-pod-autoscaler it looks like VPAs out of alpha, and in beta. (Current version at time of writing: 0.8.0)

Does anyone have experience using VPAs?
