Is it necessary to spin up a compute engine and then ssh into the the vm to create databse objects etc ?

Hi Arvind
It’s easier to create the VM so you can install the necessary packages and use the cloud_sql_proxy binary to access the database. You’re welcome to try from your own computer if you’d like!
