I deployed gen_thumbnail and placed an image on the images bucket however I cannot find any file/thumbnail image in the thumbnails bucket. Although the topic shows success status. How can I find where the problem is?

Here’s a few things to check:
Did you create the bucket notification with gsutil notification create?
Have you looked at the logs of the cloud function?
You can also create a test subscription for the topic you created, and then manually check the subscription for messages once you have uploaded an image (which should trigger a notification).
