@Mattias the current worker-startup-script.sh on github has Windows-line-endings so it can’t be used with startup-script-url metadata. Running the file through dos2unix fixed the issue

Steve, I just retried this and I didn’t have any problems getting it to work when I set the startup-script-url metadata key to have the value https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ACloudGuru/gcp-cloud-engineer/master/compute-labs/worker-startup-script.sh. Could it be possible that you unknowingly introduced the Windows-stye CRLF line endings when downloading the script, maybe? Could you please describe a bit more about what you had done before you noticed the problem? Thanks!
