Hello Mohan,
thanks for posting your question, the answer is there is another approach.
You can manage the Cloud Logging agent across your fleet of Compute Engine Linux VMs through an Agent Policy. Using the gcloud command-line tool, you can create an Agent Policy that governs new and existing VMs, ensuring proper installation and optional auto-upgrade of all agents.
