For Mac users (and others) just set up another account for your mail reader, instead of forwarding your email.

This is not a question, it’s a suggestion. Not sure if this any more or less secure than forwarding; it requires someone to compromise your device instead of your email account, so just different. Works for me. Also you need to set it up on every device you want to get the mail on…
