Access Denied error

Access denied error running gsutil ls and when deleting a VM from inside a VM. Checked API access scope and shows that it has "Allow full access to all Cloud APIs"

Hello, Craig!  This is definitely unexpected and it makes me wonder whether maybe you accidentally set the instance’s service account to "none" instead of the default service account?  That would explain why you couldn’t do anything.  In case you no longer have the instance around for debugging–or actually, maybe still do this anyways–you might want to carefully step through the lab steps one more time with a completely new instance to see whether you get the same result.  If you do, I would next look into the default service account itself to see whether maybe its permissions have been changed from their defaults.
