Hi Kev,
Make sure you create the resource group in one of the allowed regions. We don’t allow all regions for management and billing reasons. The error message should spell out which regions are allowed. If you still have problems, please contact support and they will get you going.

Same error here! and I believe the error isn’t about the region, it’s about the subscription "Hans-On Lab" I get the error with any region I choose
