That is a really good question. What I should clarify in the lecture is that there is in general no financially backed SLA for free services. You still get an SLA for the uptime of the free services, but you can’t claim a financial penalty if the SLA isn’t met. Read more here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-au/support/legal/sla/summary/

This worries me; I prefer the SLA to be met by Azure, instead of getting a bit discount if Azure is not capable.
