PostgreSQL horizontal scalability

I couldn’t find any resource that says PostgreSQL has native horizontal scalability. Please provide a reference to this stated capability.

Hi,

Let me google that for you.

It is stated on the main Azure page for the product: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-au/services/postgresql/#overview

Here are the docs for this feature: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/overview#azure-database-for-postgresql—hyperscale-citus

Cheers,
Lars

The lesson was going through history of PostgreSQL, its open source root, why developers love and then this was mentioned. It seemed that horizontal scalability is a native feature of Postres, it is not. Citus is a Postgres extension.

The official site doesn’t even mention this, I agree that Azure offers this option.
