As per my knowledge, a load balancer works based on the internet traffic. But in the lesson of LB, they said based on the application URL (which is associate to video/image) it can assign the traffic to specific VM. Can someone explain

Hi Praveen,
I think you are mixing up a Load Balancer and a Application Gateway. The information you mention about video/image routing is in the Application Gateway lecture. I’d recommend to go back and watch the Load Balancer, VPN Gateway and Application Gateway lessons again.

I agree with Lars. A Load Balancer works as a Layer 4 device, so isn’t ‘application aware’. The confusion may come from the fact the Health probes can probe HTTP/HTTPS?
