hi guys, considering i’m relatively new to the IT field and taking an interest in cloud computing I just wanted to know how can better familiarize myself with the Azure platform. I’m having a great time with the hands on labs I can use in my AZ-900 exam preps but other than that I have also managed to use the free account subscription but I still don’t feel comfortable with using Azure…any help or suggestions would be appreciated! 🙂

Hi Yaser,
That is a great question, as it shows you keen and already on the right track. My number one suggestion will always be "find a real project". The best way to learn how to use something in depth is always using it. I can teach you the theory and I can take you through a million examples, but until you have built a thing that solves a real problem you face, it isn’t quite the same. Is there someone in your community that has a problem you can solve with Azure? Do they need a simple website to collect some data you can put in a database? Do you need a VM to run a specific task? Do you want to know how often a specific event happens by using machine learning?
Find as simple a project as you can to get started. Don’t worry about not knowing a bunch of the things you need to do. That is all part of the discovery that makes learning fun. Basically the more buttons you press, the more you will learn and experience. Make sense?
