suggestion not question: how to save students from learning same thing in different courses

 there should be something called optional tag against each chapter in each course which should be personalized for each of your member . this optional tag should automatically comes in front of those chapters/lessons of course which might be repetitive on the basis of courses or lessons that he already completed . time is money .
