This may not be the forum for this – if so apologies but it has come up at work an no one is to sure if the risk we perceive is real.
Scenario :
You have a filesystem requiring high throughput / you wan redundancy of failure of a volume through RAID
Rather than one EBS volume you use Linux Volume Groups and Logical Volumes to create a stripe set of EBS volumes
When you do snapshots – how do you ensure the VG integrity without downtime to unmount the filesystems and snap each of the EBS volumes in the same state?
