AWS uses the existing infrastructure of a VPC to create a VPC peering connection; it is neither a gateway nor a AWS Site-to-Site VPN connection.
The connection is private and is not exposed to the public internet.

One of the options in the challenge was that bandwidth was constrained over the internet gateway when peering. This was discounted because there are no bandwidth constraints on IG but would it be used by peering anyway?
