AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Security Speciality?

Hi Guru’s,

So basically I’ve just passed my sysops last week. I hold both SA and sysops associate certs atm. I want to eventually do both the SA-Pro exam and the AWS security speciality exams next but I am having a hard time deciding which one to do first?

I am currently working as a system admin in a bank which doesnt touch AWS at all, so I am looking to switch early next year. Which course would you recommend me study that can help me get a cloud job next?

I am leaning towards the AWS security speciality course. If I was to apply for some cloud support roles, having a good security background will help? The AWS Solution Architect pro seems quite a senior role and would be alot harder to transition over from where I am coming from. (job wise)

Any opinions? Thanks!

I would definitely do Security first as it builds your knowledge for the Solutions Professional and is easier as well. I passed it a few weeks ago and the course they have on it is pretty good (make sure you read the KMS white paper). Im studying for the Solutions Architect professional now so best of luck
