The first bullet states "SSL certificates renew automatically, provided you purchased the domain name from Route53…" This is not correct. You just need to own the domain. The registrar managing the domain is not relevant for any part of managing certs.

Please update, thats a direct conflict on what is being said in around 6:xx of the video and what is displayed in the final slide
Ok – just an FYI, i have tested it. And the registrar doesnt have to be AWS. As long as the public cert was generated by AWS and used in some sort of AWS resource ( like ALB/Cloudfron). The auto renewal is eligible.
