Hello, I just revisited that video and nowhere can I see it mentioned that it requires to be in us-east-1 as I have also been using it for quite some time in eu-west-1.
Are you able to let us know the particular question that gave you the impression for clarification?
I can’t seem to attach a screenshot, so typing the question and answers here:
You are configuring a CloudFront web distribution for your website hosted in S3. Your marketing team has already purchased a registered domain name that they would like to use for the new website. Which kind of SSL certificate would you use in this configuration.
use a custom SSL certificate with the certification stored in ACM in us-east-2
use a custom SSL certificate with the certification stored in ACM in us-east-1
use the default CloudFront certificate with the certificate stored in us-east-1
use the default CloudFront certificate with the certificate stored in IAM
Yes that does seem incorrect
I would contact them about that https://help.acloud.guru/hc/en-us/requests/new?
As stated in all the ACG Associate courses, you really need to be aware of what they are testing on and what is current. So anything that is less than 6 months olds is unlikely to be in the exam. So for the day job you need to know, but for the exam you are living in the past as they say. I know a tough one, but you need to look at the docs so https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/acm-regions.html . Here you will see the answer 🙂
For an ACM cert to be used with CF distro it needs to be in us-east-1 region. That is why the question is formulated like this. Nothing wrong and outdated. =)
