The term “serverless” has trended as an industry buzzword for quite some time, and each cloud computing platform has their own implementations. In this course, I’ll introduce you to the four serverless contenders on Google Cloud: App Engine, Cloud Functions — and the latest entries — Cloud Run and Cloud Run for Anthos. We’ll not only compare and contrast the various services so you can best grasp their relative merits and limitations, but I’ll also make sure you understand which service to use and when. I’ll demonstrate the different deployment methods so that you can follow along if you like. To close out the course in a dynamic fashion, you’ll get hands-on experience by creating a fireworks display triggered by a Cloud Function.
