AWS Cost Optimization Deep Dive
This course is designed to present a deeper understanding of the Cost Optimization Pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
What you'll learn
What is cost optimization? How can you ensure your environment is not costing you more than it should? AWS has many cost-effective compute services and pricing options that give you the ability to effectively manage your costs while still maintaining high performance and complete capacity needs to meet all of your business requirements. In this course, we are going to dive deep into the 5 design principles of cost optimization, which include Practice Cloud Financial Management, Expenditure and Usage Awareness, Cost-Effective Resources, Manage Demand and Supply, and Optimize Over Time. We will cover how to use AWS tools and services to ensure costs are optimized and allow for growth as your use case demands evolve. Use the hands-on labs to practice using those ideas and services, and test your knowledge as you go with a quiz at the end of each section. This course requires an understanding of AWS services and features. If you have 1 or more years of hands-on experience in AWS, have your AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, and are interested in furthering your AWS career in either an Operations or an Architect-related path, this course is perfect for you! About the author
I never thought I would ever work in the tech industry, but took my customer service skills to a phone position at a tech company. From there, I dove into Linux and AWS. As I learned more, I climbed through the ranks and became an AWS Cloud Administrator working on hundreds of very different kinds of environments. I made it a point to try to teach others when and where I could. From there, I jumped over to government tech and gained many other skills including working with Docker, Ansible, etc. It was then that I decided to jump into spreading the knowledge I had gained more directly and joined A Cloud Guru. Here I am now getting teach the next wave of technologists and cloud gurus! It is my goal to ensure that more people realize that there is a place for them in tech if they are willing to work for it and remember deep breaths and baby steps! Keep being awesome, gurus!
