EVERY cloud guru should watch this course. AWS Community Hero and Digital Forensic Scientist, Mark Nunnikhoven, has been using the AWS cloud since day 1 and has seen aaaaalllllll manners of cloud environments…. from dumpster fires to elegant solutions. He’s wrapped up his 25 years of IT experience into a practical guide for making those difficult trade off decisions. Maybe AWS Lambda is more effective for you than EC2? Perhaps Timeframe is a more efficient choice than DynamoDB. This course is designed to help you when evaluating services and building a truly elegant cloud environment.

Last month, we cozied up by the fire with ACG Instructor Lars Klint as he got us a little bit closer to the people in the know to hear first hand what’s new, exciting, and amazing in Azure. This month he sat down to learn more best practices from experts in serverless and Kudu, and he got the inside scoop on the changes to Azure certifications.

Troy Hunt: From PaaS to Serverless

The creator of data breach notification service Have I Been Pwned? explains part of the evolution of the service and how it is now using more serverless infrastructure. From the Microsoft Ignite Tour, Troy also talks scalability and how serverless’ outside the box method can benefit.

Coming Next Month

In a few short days, our AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty course will launch out of preview set with a full set of ACG Exam Simulator questions. Quickly following our AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional course will also leave preview. A Cloud Guru for Business admins will also be able to assign Learning Paths and track progress taking all the guessing out of getting to the cloud.

The Kroonenburgs

As we look back on the first half of 2019 and a few short years since launching our first course, we are absolutely humbled at the passionate community that we’ve been able to be a part of. Some powerful people took notice of what we’re all doing here, and agreed to invest $33 million to allow us to grow our team, expand our course library, and develop great new features.

Our story is proof that anyone can become a cloud guru. We’ve always been for engineers by engineers, and that won’t change. We started with two brothers from the countryside, and we will continue on our same mission to teach the world to cloud. All of you are the reasons we do what we do, and the reason we’ve come so far. We wanted to take this moment to say Thank you, and…

Keep being awesome, Cloud Gurus.
